Google Analytics 4

The personal data collected via Google Firebase is sent to Google Analytics 4 for analysing user behaviour and developing the app based on user activity. Google will process this personal data, as well as personal data it has collected from its own sources, to evaluate usage of, to generate reports on, and to provide other services relating to the usage of, the app and the internet. The personal data collected in this context may be transferred to and stored by Google on servers located in the United States.

As part of the analysis, Google Analytics 4 also uses artificial intelligence, such as machine learning, to automatically analyse and enrich the data. Google does this in particular to predict future behaviour, such as to estimate sales or purchases or to predict purchasing behaviour. Google can also use the analytical results obtained in this way to predict user amounts. For more information, please visit this link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9846734

In addition, Google Analytics 4 makes predictions even if there is not enough data available to optimise analyses and reports. For more information, visit this link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/10710245

The analysis of personal data is carried out automatically using artificial intelligence or based on a set of personalised evaluation criteria. For more information, visit this link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9443595

We have applied the following data protection settings in Google Analytics:

  • IP anonymisation (shortening the IP address before analysis);
  • Automatic deletion of old log data, with a retention period limited to two (2) years;
  • Deactivation of tracking between devices and websites (Google Signals);
  • Block sharing of personal data with other Google products or services.

Google Analytics processes the following personal data:

  • Device information (IP address, device ID, operating system, make and model)
  • Device location data
  • User ID
  • Number of users and app use sessions
  • App details (app ID in the app store, version number)
  • User activity within the app (start and duration of the app use session)

Of this personal data, only app-specific data (see Google Firebase above) is sent to Google Analytics, via Google Firebase. Other personal data collected as a result of combining personal data collected by the app via Google Firebase with personal data held by Google (such as internet browsing history linked to a Google account) is collected only if the user has given explicit permission for the sharing of their personal data directly with Google.
